The Yurt

A living space of shelter.

Our space for sound and energy work and Kashmiri Tantra Massage.

A yurt is far more than a shelter made of wood, wool and fabric – it is a living being of space. The moment you cross its threshold, it catches you. It offers you protection instantly and at the same time gives you the deep feeling of being inside a living, breathing cell.

The geometry of life

Unlike modern, angular rooms, which often block or cut off energy, the round form of the yurt mirrors the natural primal forms of life. Everything in nature that grows and protects is round: from the bird’s nest to the egg cell to our home planet.

The protective mantle

The flexible wooden lattice walls act like a protective skeleton, while the soft layers of felt and fabric work like a warming skin that filters sound and softens the atmosphere.

The eye to the sky

The roof crown (toono) at the centre connects you constantly with the cosmos. You sense the course of the light, the drifting clouds and the patter of rain, while you yourself rest completely safe and grounded at the centre.

A retreat for the soul

In this living cell, everyday consciousness opens up. The nervous system switches at once from defence to relaxation — a sacred cocoon in which transformation, healing and pure arrival can happen quite naturally.
