Taiko Drumming — Trance Drumming

Experience the power of the drum.

Dates & booking

The sound of the Taiko barrel drum is a universal language — older than words, deeply rooted in our earliest history. Like the familiar heartbeat of a mother, it touches us at our very core. When ten to twenty drummers take up the rhythm together, a tremendous, pulsing force arises that makes the whole room tremble and moves through every cell of the body.

In my seminars I invite you to ignite this thunder yourself, to strengthen your presence and to feel, up close, the grounding and uplifting effect of a shared rhythm.

The art of Taiko playing

You dive deep into the fascinating world of Asian drumming on Shime-Daiko, Miya-Daiko and the mighty O-Daiko. Step by step I'll teach you the essential foundations:

  • ·A strong, well-grounded stance and the right posture.
  • ·Precise striking techniques and conscious handling of the sticks.
  • ·Coordination, expression and flowing interplay within the group.

Taiko Drumming & Trance Drumming

Taiko isn't about rigid rhythm — it's about connecting body, mind and soul. To truly embody the rhythmic movement patterns, release your own energy and let the trance effect of drumming unfold, we move fluidly between powerful expression and deep inner centring within a shared pulse.

Who is this seminar for?

Everyone can drum! No musical background or rhythmic experience is needed. I'll meet you exactly where you are. Beginners find an easy, inspiring start, while experienced players can deepen and refine their technique and quality of movement. Experience drumming as a powerful carrier wave for your transformation, rediscover your joy of life and recharge with pure vitality!
